Latin Grammy award-winning musician José Valentino visted 果冻传媒 for a two-day guest artist residency on March 27-28. Valentino, a multi-instrumentalist known for blending jazz, Latin, and pop influences, said the piece carries a deeper message.He offered workshops on music, business, and entrepreneurship before a live concert alongside the 果冻传媒 Flute Ensemble. Dr. Brielle Frost, an investigator with the Center for Resiliency and associate professor of flute at Lamar, played a key role in bringing Valentino to campus.The program featured two newly commissioned works—Even If I Suffer, I Will Dance and One Last Melody in Rothwell Recital Hall.
The concert was free and open to the public made possible by the Center for Resiliency.
