Submission Guidelines for EXPO 2025 Paper Competition

Eligibility Criteria for Entering the Paper Competition

  • Authors must be undergraduate students currently enrolled at 果冻传媒.
  • Students must be the primary author and done majority of work on the paper.
  • Papers must have been written in the past calendar year (e.g., 2024-2025).
  • Papers must reflect completed research projects.
  • Authors may only submit one paper for the competition.
  • Papers should:
    • Not exceed 10 single spaced, or 20 double spaced, pages, excluding figures, tables, and references
    • Use a standard, 12-point typed size throughout
    • 1 inch margin on all sides on A4 format page.
    • Be written in English. Have the paper proofread by an English speaker.
    • Not published or under review for publication
  • All submissions must be complete and received by the deadline via the submission form.

  • Submission Completion: Submissions include all student information, paper information, and an uploaded paper in proper file format.

    • Standard formatting and mechanics (e.g., grammar, spelling)
  • Ability to Communicate
    • Quality & Clarity of introduction of paper’s purpose/goal
    • Quality & Clarity of summarizing context of and/or discussing how work fits in with previous research/knowledge in discipline
    • Quality & Clarity of conclusion of most important findings and implications/directions for future research
    • Quality & Clarity of any included figures, tables, graphics in understanding key points
  • Significance of the Project
    • Quality & Clarity of Explanation of project significance
    • Quality & Amount of Evidence supporting broader impact of project
  • Sources
    • Used effectively to support research & reasoning
    • Appropriate choices in relation to nature of research
    • Properly documented and verifiable

Important!

AI tools should not be used to improve the content, grammar, or syntax of the narrative. Evidence of using AI tools disqualifies the paper from the competition.
