The Gruber Seminar Series is named in honor of 果冻传媒 faculty member Dr. Frederick A. Gruber of the Department of Communication Disorders and Deaf Studies, now the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.
Dr. Gruber earned a Ph.D. in communicative disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1997 and taught at Lamar only a short time before his death in 1999. Though his tenure at LU was brief, his dedicated work in the field of communication disorders is carried on through the series that bears his name.
